Week in Rewind Volume 110
Happy Monday, friend!
Another weekly recap and another late post. I promise one of these days I’ll get back into a better routine… but this week clearly wasn’t it.
It was a fun one, packed with lots of fall goodness. Our family squeezed in a few fun activities, and here on the blog, I shared some Thanksgiving inspiration along with a few favorites from friends that I think you’ll love.
So grab a cozy fall drink, get comfy, and let’s catch up on the latest week in rewind.

Tidbits from Home
As usual, it’s been a busy couple of weeks around here. Peyton’s volleyball team had their final regular-season home game, and it was definitely bittersweet.

This whole season has felt a little disconnected since her injury, and I don’t think all of the “lasts” have really sunk in yet.
Last weekend she went to her last Homecoming. Since she missed her own high school’s dance because of surgery, she went with a friend to theirs instead.

The girls got dressed up, but skipped the actual dance, and had a fun girls’ night in instead with board games and snacks. Honestly, that was probably better for Peyton’s knee anyway.
Her recovery is still going well overall. She’s a little over three weeks post-op from her ACL surgery now, though we did have a small hiccup last week when her incision got a little oozy. It turned out her body was reacting to some leftover sutures, and she ended up with a mild staph infection.
Thankfully, we caught it early, and it hasn’t caused too much trouble, but it’s something we’re keeping a close eye on.

And last weekend, my sister, brother-in-law, and their family surprised us by coming to town for dinner, which was a nice little visit. We don’t live far apart, but with busy family schedules and their small business to run (they own a brewery!), we don’t get together as often as we’d like.

Which brings us to this week. It was another full one with the conference volleyball tournament. The girls made it to the semifinals before dropping a heartbreaking loss to their cross-town rival.

I also got to have a fun girls’ night out with some of my former co-workers at the Husker volleyball game. I haven’t had a night out with friends in quite a while, and honestly, it was just what I needed.

We forgot to grab a photo together at the game, but did manage a quick selfie afterward while grabbing dinner and drinks.
