Tidbits from Home

Last weekend, we spent a couple of days at Missouri S&T in Rolla. It was Kirk’s first visit to campus, and I think he really loved getting to see where Peyton will be next year.

This was my third visit, and I’ve now seen the campus in the spring and summer, but fall might just be my favorite. The photos truly don’t do it justice.

My mom came along too, so we rented an Airbnb and had the best time relaxing and enjoying some family time together.

If you know me, you know I have a sweet tooth, so of course, we had to stop by Soda and Scoops for ice cream because it isn’t a visit to Rolla without it. We also checked out a few of the local restaurants and grabbed more merch at the bookstore.

We met up with Peyton’s coach, caught up with some of the girls, explored town, and watched the last two home games of their season.

We’re already looking forward to coming back again in the spring for her official visit.

And because every trip needs a little plot twist, we did have a minor fender bender. Kirk went out to grab donuts one morning for the girls, and while he was inside, someone backed into our car. Thankfully, the damage is minor.

We’ll need to get a dent fixed and the paint repaired, but the car is still perfectly drivable, the driver stopped, and no one was hurt.

Not the souvenir we wanted from the weekend, but we were grateful it wasn’t anything worse.

And this week, Peyton’s commitment became officially official with her signing day ceremony at school. It was fun to celebrate her accomplishments and share the excitement with her high school coach and a few of her teammates.

This week, I shared my Christmas Home Tour, which was inspired by that viral Ralph Lauren theme everyone is loving right now.

Traditional Ralph-Lauren inspired Christmas decorating ideas with a vintage dresser styled with an old typerwriter and fraed santa print next to ligth up grapevine garaland cone trees and a vintage mirror on the wall with a christmas swag tied with red velvet ribbon

I had so much fun putting my own spin on it with traditional reds, greens, and navy, lots of greenery, velvet ribbon, plaids, and cozy cottage-style touches throughout our entryway, dining room, and (for the first time ever) our kitchen.

Santa mug filled with coffee styled on a kitchen counter with plaid napkins, a vintage wooden coffee grinder, greenery, and cutting boards, creating a cozy vignette that fits traditional Christmas decorating ideas and classic Ralph Lauren Christmas style.
Green pioneer woman dutch oven on the stovetop in the kitchen with a cofee maker, cookbooks, and plaid candle warmer in the background

If you missed it, you can take the full tour here.

I also shared two sponsored posts over on Instagram. One was all about holiday hosting with Fareway Stores, which is one of my favorite places to shop for groceries.

Kitchen decorated for Christmas with a tree in the corner and wreaths on the cabinets and a spread of holiday party food on the island.

They have an amazing selection of meats and cheeses and made-to-order party trays, plus fresh produce, sweet treats, and everything you need to make festive seasonal cocktails.

A white bakery box wrapped with a plaid bow and a spring of fresh rosemary with a nutcrack gift tag and a nutcracker cheese knife tucked into the ribbon. The box is is packaged as a christas gift with a plaid tea towel and a scalloped wooden cutting board and the box is filled with mini breads ands sweet cremes from Swiss Colony.

And the other featured a few holiday gifting ideas from Swiss Colony. They have so many delicious, sweet, and savory options, and their gift boxes always make such easy, thoughtful gifts.

From now through December 15th, you can use code JEN10 at checkout to save on any order from Swiss Colony’s website.

I’m so glad I get to share the things I genuinely love with you. Thanks for being here and for all of your support!
