Festive 15 Minute Valentine’s Day Snack Mix

Simple. Addictive. Delish.

That’s the best way I can describe this fun and festive Valentine’s Day snack mix. And I would know since I have eaten more than my fair share.

If you’ve only got time to make one dessert this Valentine’s Day, this is it. Covered in creamy white chocolate and packed with cereal, pretzels, and M&M’s, this is one snack that everyone will love. And the best part? The snack mix is ready in only 15 minutes, and there’s no baking required. Now that’s my kind of dessert!

Package it up with my free printable gift tag and take it to your child’s school party, or make an extra batch to share with your co-workers and friends. (They’ll thank you later.)

Ingredients For Valentine’s Day Snack Mix

  • 2 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup miniature pretzel twists
  • 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Cheerios cereal
  • 1 bag Valentine’s M&M’s
  • 2 bags white chocolate chips (12 ounces each)
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons vegetable or canola oil
  • Valentine’s sprinkles (optional)

Other Snack Mix Add-Ins

You can add other ingredients to your snack mix based on what you love the most. Here are a few other ideas of things to try.

  • Peanuts
  • Raisins (plain or yogurt covered)
  • Animal crackers
  • Vanilla goldfish

How To Make Valentine’s Day Snack Mix

In a large mixing bowl, combine two cups of Corn Chex, Rice Chex, and Cheerios.

To the cereal, add one cup of mini pretzel twists and one bag of pink, white, and red Valentine’s M&M’s.

Then, in a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and one and a half teaspoons of vegetable oil. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, and continue to microwave in 15-second increments until the chocolate is melted smooth.

Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix.

The chocolate cools quickly! Make sure to stir it fast; so the mixture gets coated evenly.

Line a large baking sheet with some parchment paper. Pour out the snack mix and evenly spread it out on the sheet to cool.

To finish my Valentine’s Day snack mix, I added a few festive sprinkles. Once the chocolate is completely cool, break the mix into pieces and serve.

How To Store Valentine’s Day Snack Mix

To keep Valentine’s snack mix fresh, store it in an airtight food storage container at room temperature.

The mix can keep for up to a week. But it’s so good…don’t be surprised if it gets devoured long before that!

Can You Store The Valentine’s Day Snack Mix In The Freezer?

Yes! You can freeze it to save for later when you’re craving a sweet treat. Or make a double batch to save and share with friends.

To freeze the Valentine’s Day snack mix, follow the recipe as directed. When it’s cool, pour the mix into an airtight freezer bag and store for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, dump the mix into a bowl and defrost at room temperature.

Would you believe I’ve never made a chex-mix type snack? It’s sadly true but I’m actually going to give it a try since you said no-bake and 15 minutes. It looks scrumptious and I love a good sweet and salty snack. Hope your Valentine’s is amazing. Thanks for sharing this. pinned
