Cozy Hot Cocoa Bar And Printable Tags
‘Tis the season for all things warm and cozy, including a cozy hot cocoa bar with printable tags! Today, I’m sharing how you can create a hot cocoa bar in your own home.
Setting Up a Cozy Hot Cocoa Bar
Our dining room gets a lot of love here on the blog. And I have to confess it is one of my favorite rooms in our home. Recently, I shared how I decorated this space as part of the annual The Home Depot Holiday Style Challenge! So, it only made sense that I set up our hot cocoa bar in the dining room, too.
Our buffet table is an ideal size for creating a hot cocoa bar with all of the necessities. And since the dining room is right next to the kitchen, it is easily accessible. This is perfect for grabbing a quick cozy mug of cocoa before snuggling up to watch Christmas movies.
If you don’t have a large space, don’t worry. You don’t need a formal dining room or a buffet table to make your own hot cocoa bar. You can use a bar cart or style a simple tiered tray on your kitchen counter like the one I have here.
Hot Cocoa Bar Supplies
Once you have found the perfect space, it’s time to gather all of your hot cocoa bar supplies.
I love this large coffee urn. Just fill it with water, and voila! The dispenser is easy to use, so our girls can fill their own mugs and then add the cocoa mix and all of their own toppings.
Of course, it isn’t a cocoa bar without festive holiday mugs. How cute are these fun Santa mugs? I snagged them on a major sale last year from Pottery Barn, but you can still get the mugs here.
When it comes to the topping choices, you can include as much or as little as you like. I decided to go all out for my first cocoa bar this year and included chocolate chips, candy canes, peppermint chips, mini marshmallows, whip cream, and several different types of caramel and chocolate drizzles.
Because there is no such thing as too many choices when it comes to toppings, right? I poured all of the toppings into some glass jars that I already had on hand and then added these wooden scoops for serving. I finished our cozy hot cocoa bar by adding these red and white striped paper straws and some printable tags!
Free Hot Cocoa Bar Tags
These FREE printable tags are the perfect finishing touch for your hot cocoa bar. The black chalkboard background and pinecone design make them neutral so that they can be used all winter long. (Because hot cocoa isn’t just for Christmas!)
All you need for the tags is a home printer, some paper (I prefer to use cardstock), and a pair of scissors. After printing and cutting apart the hot cocoa tags, I used a hole punch and my favorite red and white twine to attach all of the tags to each of the jars.
My hot cocoa bar printable includes 12 different tags, including all of the tags shown here. If you aren’t already a MWLS subscriber, just sign up below to get your free printables now!

Aren’t they perfect? I love how the tags tie the whole hot cocoa bar together. It is a fun way to add a festive touch to your home for the holidays. And more than that, it is a simple and meaningful way to make long-lasting memories with your family.
