Ingredients for Halloween Monster Munch Trail Mix

  • 2 cups roasted, salted peanuts
  • 2 cups mixed nuts or store-bought trail mix of your choice (I used Trader Joe’s almond, chocolate, and cashew trek mix)
  • 1 cup sesame sticks
  • 1 cup Ghoul’s Mix Halloween M&M’s
  • 1 (4.23 oz) container candy eyeball sprinkles

Equipment Needed

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups

How to Make Halloween Trail Mix

Step 1: Combine the Base Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the roasted peanuts, mixed nuts (or your favorite store-bought trail mix), and sesame sticks.

I love shopping at Trader Joe’s, so I used their almond, chocolate, and cashew trek mix for this recipe, but feel free to pick any mix you enjoy!

There are so many options out there…just go with what you love!

Once you’ve added all the nuts and sesame sticks to your mixing bowl, give everything a good stir to make sure it’s well mixed.

Step 2: Add the Halloween M&M’s

Now for the fun part…it’s time to add a pop of color and chocolatey goodness.

Toss in some Ghoul’s Mix Halloween M&M’s and gently stir them into the snack mix base.

Step 3: Finish with a Spooky Touch

To add a spooky touch to your mix, toss in the edible candy eyeball sprinkles.

Just make sure to give your trail mix a gentle stir so all the candy eyeballs don’t sink to the bottom of your mixing bowl.

It’s the perfect finishing touch that makes this Halloween mix a little eerie and a whole lot of fun!

Then dig in and enjoy!

What Else Can I Include in My Halloween Mix Recipe?

While this easy Halloween treat is delicious just as it is, feel free to get creative and mix things up to make it your own!

Here are a few other ingredients you can include in your Halloween trail mix recipe.

More Halloween Trail Mix Ideas:

  • Pumpkin seeds: These seasonal seeds add the perfect touch of autumn.
  • Candy corn: A classic Halloween candy, this sweet treat gives your trail mix a bit of childhood nostalgia.
  • Mini pretzels: With their salty crunch, mini pretzels balance out the sweetness of the other ingredients.
  • Favorite Halloween candy: Feel free to include your favorites like mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, mini Hershey’s Kisses, or even chopped-up bits of your favorite candy bars.
  • Dried fruit: Dried fruit like cranberries or raisins add a burst of natural sweetness.

How to Store Your Leftover Halloween Trail Mix

Simply store your leftover trail mix in an airtight container, and it will stay fresh for up to 3 weeks.
