  • Floral wire

Directions To Make A Rustic Christmas Centerpiece

Step 1: Create The Dried Orange and Greenery Bundle

First, grab two pieces of faux pine greenery and bind them together using thin-gauge floral wire.

Since the greenery bundle will be the foundation for your cinnamon sticks and dried oranges, make sure it’s nice and sturdy by giving it a firm tug.

Next, grab your glue gun and carefully attach two cinnamon sticks to the greenery bundle. Let that glue dry and cool before you move on to the next step.

Now, it’s time to add the dried orange slices! Grab your glue gun again and carefully attach one orange slice on top of the cinnamon sticks.

Then, to add an extra touch of rustic charm, dab some glue on the back of the bundle and attach a thin piece of craft twine. Wrap the twine around the bundle in a criss-crossing pattern. Don’t forget to trim off any excess twine and secure it with another dab of glue.

Step 2: Prepare Your Hurricane Candle Holders

Before I added my greenery and dried oranges, to my Christmas centerpiece, I gave these hurricane candle holders a little makeover. I upcycled them from an old holiday centerpiece, adding a fresh, rustic look with some wired burlap ribbon.

To recreate this look, simply cut some ribbon and wrap it around each candle holder, making sure it’s nice and snug.

Now, grab the holiday bundle of greenery and oranges you just created, and attach it to the burlap-wrapped candle holders.

Use your glue gun to secure the bundle to the ribbon. Lay the candle holders flat while the glue dries, ensuring everything stays in place.

Complete the rustic look of your Christmas centerpiece by tucking a few birch twigs into the arrangement of greenery and dried oranges.

Step 3: Finish Your Christmas Centerpiece

To add the final touches of festive sparkle to your rustic Christmas centerpiece, sprinkle a dusting of faux snow in the bottom of each hurricane candle holder.

Then, carefully place a flameless battery-operated candle in each holder, and that’s it! Your rustic Christmas centerpiece is ready to grace your holiday tablescape and spread festive cheer throughout your home.

I love your Hurrican candle holders. They look beautiful and so easy to make. I also need to find me a pretty board, that is such a great base for all kinds of centerpieces. Your table is set so beautifully, tons of inspiration that has been planning for a future table.

Jen, I love that you decorated not one, but a set of hurricane candle holders! They look so pretty grouped together, and I love rustic natural look of the greenery, cinnamon sticks and orange slices. I have lots of left over orange slices from last year, and now I know just what to make with them!
