Tidbits from Home
A Fall Day at the Pumpkin Patch
Last weekend, we squeezed in a trip to the pumpkin patch, and we couldn’t have asked for a prettier fall day!

We took a hayrack ride out to pick pumpkins, wandered through the corn maze, and of course, couldn’t leave without sharing a funnel cake!

It felt a little strange going without Peyton this year, but I’m glad we made time to keep up our fall tradition.
A Full Family Calendar
The past two weekends have been a little crazy with the girls’ sports schedules, so Kirk and I have had to divide and conquer!

Last weekend, Harper played her first basketball game of the season with her middle school team. They lost a close one, but it was so fun to watch!

Meanwhile, Kirk headed to Kansas City to watch Peyton play volleyball. A few of Peyton’s best friends from high school also made the trip to surprise her, and she was completely shocked! There were definitely some big hugs and happy tears after the match.

This weekend, we switched places. My parents and I traveled to Missouri to watch Peyton play her final home volleyball matches of the regular season, while Kirk stayed home with Harper for basketball and Halloween festivities.
It was a little disappointing that we couldn’t all be together for Halloween, but everyone had a fun weekend.

We celebrated my mom’s birthday on Friday with cake, and on Saturday, Peyton’s team wrapped up their final home game of the regular season with a win!

Meanwhile, back home, Harper got to carve pumpkins, go trick-or-treating, and have a sleepover with friends.
We Wrote a Book…And It’s Officially Launched!
After months of planning, writing, photographing, and working behind the scenes, I can finally say it…our book has officially launched!

In case you missed the news, my friend Missy from Sonata Home Design and I created our first digital holiday entertaining book, Twinkling Lights and Festive Bites.

It’s been such a labor of love, and we’re both so excited to finally share it with you!
