How was your Fourth of July?
Did you do anything fun to celebrate?
Kirk stayed back to wrap up summer school, but the girls and I took a little road trip north to visit my family for the weekend.
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, and spending it in my hometown has become a family tradition.
We went to the parade, enjoyed the fireworks show, and even caught the new Despicable Me movie at the drive-in!
And we wrapped our trip with the annual 5k color run.
It was such a fun weekend and a nice break from our busy summer.

Since I didn’t post anything new this week, I thought it would be fun to revisit some of my favorite summer posts from last year.
