In a large stockpot or dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrots, celery and cook until tender for about 3-5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and stir for an additional minute.
Add the all-purpose flour and stir until well combined. Add the broth and kielbasa sausage into the pot and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the tortellini pasta and cover. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package and until it is tender.
Once the tortellini is cooked, add in the cream and fresh spinach. Stir until well mixed, and the spinach begins to cook down. Season with salt and pepper as needed and serve immediately.
