Double Berry Blended Daiquiri
Welcome to the Summer Sips Blog Hop!
Today I’m excited to be joining six other talented bloggers for a Summer Sips Blog Hop! If you are visiting from Bethany at Crisp Collective, welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
I’ve never been much for beer or wine, but I do love a good cocktail. With just eight simple ingredients, this double berry blended daiquiri is the perfect refreshing drink for those hot summer days. And, as Jimmy Buffet says, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?
Ingredients
Below is a list of all of the ingredients you’ll need to make your own.
Double Berry Blended Daiquiri Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, cored and halved
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 4 ounces simple syrup
- 4 ounces white rum
- 2-3 cups crushed ice
- granulated sugar and lime slices for garnish
Can I use Frozen Fruit to Make My Daiquiri?
Yes! You can use frozen fruit to make your daiquiri. Just be sure to let the berries defrost for about 10-15 minutes first. Partially defrosted berries are much easier to puree in the blender than fully frozen fruit.
Instructions
Double Berry Blended Daiquiri Instructions
1) Place raspberries in a blender and puree. Pour the puree through a sieve to remove the berry seeds and pour the puree back into the blender.
2) Add strawberries, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and rum to the blender. Puree just until the strawberries are blended in.
3) Add 2-3 cups of ice to the puree mixture. Blend until smooth
4) Pour into a chilled glass with a sugared rim and garnish with a slice of lime. Serve and enjoy!
How to Make a Non-Alcoholic Daiquiri
If you’d prefer a non-alcoholic drink, mix the daiquiri as instructed and simply omit the rum. The non-alcoholic version is also great for kids and can be frozen for popsicles. Yum!
